On Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the invitation of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Skopje, Ms. Anke Holstein, the Bektashi World Leader, His Holiness, Hajji Dede Edmond Brahimaj, High Commissioner for World Peace, AUGP, DMPP, UN Mission, Golden Medal, Honorary Ambassador,  “Order of Peace Missionary Mahatma Gandhi”, AUGP, DMPP, UN Mission held a meeting with the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank Walter Steinmeier, who is staying on an official visit to North Macedonia. The focus of the conversation was about the issue and the great role it plays today, for the time and human society, religious harmony and tolerance. During this meeting, after introducing the President to the 800-year journey of the Bektashi faith, among other things, he said: “I feel honored for this evaluation and for making us an integral part of your activities and visits, because above all , the Nation and faith in God will elevate the values of society that seems to be under constant threat. The time in which we are living is facing us with unprecedented challenges one after the other, the pandemic has isolated us and already the fierce Russian war against Ukraine that is shaking the whole world, is taking innocent lives of babies, heads of families and young boys. It is expelling many Ukrainian citizens from the lands, and this is a bad thing for everyone, which must be rooted out as soon as possible. Our common prayers are always for peace, armistice and the freedom of an independent nation. Religion has always had priority over the national issue and faith in God, which must always accompany it. May the Exalted God bless us all, make us worthy to lead the believers who need us so much. And for this special day for all of us, the families and all the people who surround us, I wish that God’s blessings and wishes bring us peace in these troubled times of war, prosperity and prosperity! For his part, President Steinmeier appreciated the work done by the World Grandfather so far in Albania, the Balkans and beyond, emphasizing Albania’s important role and commitment to stability in the region. “Freedom of religion and belief is a practical reality in Albania and the world can learn a lot from the Albanian experience in respecting freedom of thought, conscience, religion or belief and achieving religious harmony,” he affirmed. We remind you that the Bektashian Grandfather, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, among many titles, decorations and prestigious international awards, at the traditional ceremony of the awarding of the Tolerance and Peace Awards, was awarded the title “Ring of Tolerance and Peace”.
